1) Core Principle: No Personally Identifiable Information
PicNav does not collect or store any personally identifiable information (PII) and does not maintain data that can be linked to a specific user. We do not create user accounts, do not use advertising identifiers (such as IDFA/AAID), and do not build user profiles. IP addresses may be transiently processed by network infrastructure but are not stored by us.
2) Information the App Handles
The App processes certain information to function, but we design this to be anonymous or device-scoped:
- Device/Runtime Signals: app version, OS version, language/region, and performance metrics, used only in aggregate to improve reliability.
- Usage Metrics (anonymous): screens viewed and feature usage collected in aggregate. These metrics cannot be tied to an individual.
- Location Data (on-device): If you choose location-based features, location is processed on-device to provide functionality. Location is not sent to our servers unless you explicitly share it.
3) Third‑Party Services We Use
We rely on privacy-conscious third parties to operate and improve PicNav. They receive only the minimum necessary information and we do not send them PII.
- Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): Aggregated, anonymous analytics for app usage and performance. No personally identifiable data is shared. See Google’s policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Cashlytics: Crash diagnostics and performance monitoring. Data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users.
- RevenueCat: Manages in‑app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat processes purchase entitlements using store‑provided receipts/tokens. We do not send PII to RevenueCat, and RevenueCat does not provide us information that can identify a specific user.
- App Stores (Apple App Store / Google Play): Distribution and billing are handled by the app stores under their own privacy policies.
4) Payments and Entitlements
Purchases and subscriptions are handled by the app stores. RevenueCat reads store receipts to validate your entitlements on-device and in the cloud. We do not receive your payment details or any personal identifiers from the stores or RevenueCat.
5) Data Retention
We do not maintain user profiles. Anonymous analytics and crash data may be retained for statistical and reliability purposes only, and not in a form that allows us to identify an individual.
6) Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent any data. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above acting as processors to operate the App or fulfill purchases, under appropriate data protection terms.
7) Your Choices
- Analytics Controls: You can limit analytics collection by disabling analytics/diagnostics in your OS settings.
- Location Permissions: You can deny or revoke location permissions in your device settings; some features may then be unavailable.
- Purchases: For purchase history or refunds, use your app store account tools.
8) Security
We apply reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect information processed by the App. No method is 100% secure; use the Service at your own risk.
9) Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10) International Users
Our operations are based in Sweden. Data may be processed by our service providers in other jurisdictions subject to appropriate safeguards.
11) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be available in the App or on our website with the “Last updated” date.
